Introduction to Literature Reviews: Types, Methods, and Best Practices

Literature reviews bring together and summarise scientific knowledge on a subject in a single document. These reviews may or may not be conducted in a rigorous and transparent manner. Examples include systematic reviews and narrative reviews. The aim of this course is to provide participants with an overview of the different types of reviews and to outline their main stages and recommendations for development.

About the Workshop Leader :

Nancy Durieux is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology, Logopaedics, and Education Sciences at the University of Liège (Belgium). She is also co-director of the JBI Belgium Centre for Supporting Evidence-Based Health Care.
Nancy holds a master’s degree in psychology and a PhD in medical sciences. Her main areas of interest are evidence-based practice, evidence synthesis and meta-research.
